The US jobs report β€” Non-Farm Employment Change, Average Hourly Earnings and the Unemployment Rate β€” landed at 12:30 UTC on 2 October, and palladium led the reaction, climbing 0.72% against the dollar. Crypto majors tracked in our feed split either side of flat.

Where the dollar moved

Palladium (XPDUSD) posted the largest move, rising from 1186.50 to 1195.00, a 0.72% gain in the minutes after the release.

Polygon (MATUSD) followed, up 0.54% from 0.1111 to 0.1117.

Polkadot (DOTUSD) moved the other way, slipping 0.37% from 1.2170 to 1.2125 β€” the largest decline in the set.

Tezos (XTZUSD) edged up 0.11%, from 0.3238 to 0.32415, while Stellar (XLMUSD) dipped 0.06%, from 0.22434 to 0.22421. The Graph (GRTUSD) was unchanged at 0.0292.

What the reaction shows

The move concentrated at the top: palladium and Polygon accounted for the only gains of real size, both under 1%. Everything else clustered close to its pre-release level, with two small declines and one flat print.

With the biggest mover under three-quarters of a percent, the broad reaction across the set was muted. Direction was split rather than uniform β€” palladium and two crypto names firmed while two eased and one held flat β€” leaving no single, one-way response to the data.
