Tezos (XTZ) jumped 5.06% to $0.2884, the day’s biggest single mover and the clearest sign that altcoins, not the majors, carried the crypto tape into the European close. Crude went the other way and led the losers.

Crypto

XTZ topped the board, trailed by Stellar (XLM) at +2.88% to $0.20173 and Uniswap (UNI) at +2.34% to $7.764. The Graph (GRT) added 2.24% to $0.0274 and now sits 52.22% higher on the month.

The large caps were comparatively still. Bitcoin rose 0.52% to $83,330.64 and Ethereum 0.68% to $2,520.58, both lower on the week (-2.82% and -6.96%). Polkadot (DOT) was the only notable decliner, off 0.72% to $1.246 despite a 22.64% monthly gain. The weekly picture across the complex remains soft β€” Bitcoin Cash -10.22%, Litecoin -8.48%, Cardano -7.04% β€” even as the day leaned green.

Commodities and Metals

Oil was the session’s weak spot. Brent (UKOil) fell 1.12% to $101.55 and WTI (USOil) 0.83% to $90.21, though both hold weekly gains of +2.41% and +2.10%. WTI is still down 6.70% on the month.

Metals were quiet. Gold eased 0.11% to $4,190.32, keeping a 1.36% weekly gain, while silver added 0.18% to $60.93 and remains 5.48% lower over the month. Platinum rose 0.19% to $1,694.85 and palladium 0.32% to $1,158.87.

Equities

European benchmarks firmed into the close but stayed red on the week. The Euro Stoxx 50 led at +0.58% to 6,187.18 yet sits 1.09% lower over seven days; the CAC 40 rose 0.49% to 7,814.34, the IBEX 35 0.28% to 19,129.70, and the DAX 40 0.23% to 25,220.17. The FTSE 100 added 0.16% to 10,593.95 and is one of the few higher on the week, up 0.70%. The IBEX remains the regional standout on the year at +24.09%.

Asia set the tone earlier: the Hang Seng climbed 2.09% to 24,346.36, and the Nikkei 225 edged up 0.19% to 69,028.43, now 48.33% higher on the year. US benchmarks were steadier, the S&P 500 up 0.17% to 7,829.28 and the Nasdaq 100 0.43% to 31,032.88.

Currencies

FX stayed narrow. The rand was the mover, with USD/ZAR down 0.52% to 16.415 and off 1.32% on the week. EUR/USD slipped 0.12% to 1.11847, leaving it 3.54% lower on the month. The lira softened again, USD/TRY up 0.59% to 49.21.

Crude remains the session’s soft spot as the week winds down.
