Elsewhere XRP eased 0.59% to $1.3571 and Solana lost 0.37% to $101.31, though the pair hold monthly gains of 35.57% and 34.68% respectively.
Energy and metals
Crude is the clearest theme outside crypto. UKOil rose 2.34% to $103.92 and USOil added 2.05% to $98.68, extending weekly gains of roughly 9% and yearly gains near 56% and 58%.
Metals leaned the other way. Gold slipped 0.36% to $4,332.52 and silver fell 0.89% to $63.88, trimming the week. Palladium dropped 1.28% to $1,288.41, leaving it down 8.07% on the week, while platinum eased 0.68% to $1,791.05.
Indices
The Nikkei 225 led losses among stocks, down 2.61% to 63,001.48 and off 8.26% on the month, even as it still sits 40.97% higher over the year.
Wall Street softened. The Nasdaq 100 fell 1.25% to 29,001.32, the S&P 500 lost 0.57% to 7,613.08, and the Dow slipped 0.28% to 52,408.95.
Europe diverged from the US and Asia. The IBEX 35 rose 1.13% to 19,854.79, the Euro Stoxx 50 gained 1.02% to 6,319.38, and the CAC 40 added 0.81% to 8,175.15, while the DAX 40 bucked the trend, down 0.57% to 25,407.51.
Currencies
Majors were quiet. EURUSD held flat at 1.15951, GBPUSD dipped 0.02% to 1.35204, and USDJPY was unchanged at 153.49.
The Scandinavian crosses supplied the FX movement. NOKSEK fell 1.55% to 1.02715, while the krona firmed broadly β EURSEK dropped 1.12%, USDSEK fell 1.12% to 9.56928, and GBPSEK lost 1.19%. The Turkish lira remained soft, with USDTRY up 0.72% to 48.59.
Into the day, crude and Tezos sit at the strong end of the tape, while the Nikkei 225 and the chip-heavy Nasdaq 100 mark the session’s weak spots.
