A 22.99% surge in The Graph’s GRT was the day’s clear outlier, towering over an otherwise quiet New York close that left US equities lower and precious metals extending their pullback.

GRT led the entire board, jumping 22.99% to $0.0337 and stretching a run that now reads +44.02% on the week and +105.49% over the month, even as it remains 59.15% lower on the year. Nothing else came close.

The rest of the space was mixed. Polkadot added 1.37% to $1.255 and Solana rose 1.24% to $122.82, both sitting on heavy monthly gains of +48.87% and +16.35%. Bitcoin edged up 0.21% to $84,585 and Ethereum slipped 0.35% to $2,685.91. Litecoin was the day’s biggest decliner at -1.99% to $71.07, though it still holds a +45.16% monthly gain, and Bitcoin Cash eased 0.63% while carrying a +24.83% week.

Metals

Precious metals were the session’s clear soft spot, with all four lower. Palladium fell 0.94% to $1,256.30 and is now down 12.19% on the month. Silver dropped 0.90% to $63.73, deepening a -4.36% week. Platinum lost 0.72% to $1,769.75 and gold eased 0.60% to $4,260.55, leaving bullion off 2.47% on the week and 4.35% on the month. Both metals stay well ahead year-on-year, gold +13.11% and silver +37.79%.

Indices and energy

US benchmarks closed in the red. The Dow led the declines at -0.38% to 51,625.18, the S&P 500 fell 0.26% to 7,722.80 and the Nasdaq 100 eased 0.20% to 30,570.32, though the tech gauge is still +3.79% on the month. Europe leaned the other way, with the Euro Stoxx 50 up 0.56% to 6,339.98 and Spain’s IBEX 35 up 0.51%, now +29.08% on the year. In Asia, the Nikkei 225 slipped 0.15% but holds a +47.27% year.

Crude firmed. Brent (UKOil) rose 0.68% to $98.08 and WTI (USOil) added 0.45% to $91.92, both up roughly 11% on the month and more than 41% over the year.

Currencies

The dollar held broadly firm into the close. The standout was the Norwegian krone against the Swedish krona, with NOKSEK down 1.03% to 1.03099. The rand firmed, pulling USDZAR down 0.64% to 16.182, while krona softness also showed in EURSEK (-0.52%) and GBPSEK (-0.53%). Over the week the peso stands out, with USDMXN up 2.70% to 17.677. Majors stayed quiet: EUR/USD eased to 1.13814 and GBP/USD slipped 0.10% to 1.32279, both modestly lower on the week.

Precious metals remain the session’s soft spot, with gold and silver both extending weekly losses into the close.
