Crypto set the pace into the New York close. Cardano surged 11.42% to $0.2235, Dogecoin added 9.08% and XRP gained 9.04%, topping a green board that ran through every major coin.
Crypto
Bitcoin rose 5.92% to $81,871.82, extending its month-to-date advance to 26.75%. Ethereum climbed 5.26% to $2,516.35 and is now up 31.96% over the month. BNB rose 5.41% to $724.78 and Solana added 4.94% to $105.30, the latter carrying a 42.45% monthly gain.
The day’s percentage leaders sit far below year-ago levels β Cardano is still down 72.38% on the year and XRP off 47.33% β but the near-term move was broad and one-directional.
Currencies
The yen was the standout in FX. USDJPY fell 1.92% to 155.83, the biggest single loser on the board, with the pair down 2.66% on the week. The strength ran across the crosses: GBPJPY dropped 1.61% to 210.79, EURJPY lost 1.59% to 181.15, and CADJPY fell 1.52%.
The dollar softened elsewhere too. EURUSD firmed 0.33% to 1.16228 and GBPUSD rose 0.32% to 1.35246. USDCHF slid 0.82% and USDSEK fell 0.97%, while USDZAR eased 0.53% to 15.973.
Metals
Precious metals joined the rally. Silver climbed 2.49% to $66.97 and gold rose 2.00% to $4,473.40. Palladium jumped 5.29% to $1,422.76 and platinum added 3.39% to $1,824.98. Silver’s 52-week gain now stands at 64.46%, gold’s at 25.92%.
Equities and energy
Wall Street closed higher. The Dow led with a 1.06% gain to 53,643.93, the Nasdaq 100 rose 1.04% to 29,457.13 and the S&P 500 added 0.91% to 7,740.38. In Europe, the IBEX 35 rose 1.09% and the DAX gained 0.61%, though the CAC 40 ended flat and is down 4.5% on the month.
Crude edged higher, with USOil up 0.92% to $89.95 and UKOil up 0.38% to $94.37. Both hold hefty monthly gains β USOil is up 21.29% over 30 days.
The yen’s broad advance remains the session’s clearest FX theme, with USDJPY back below 156.
