The yen firmed against everything. NZD/JPY was the day’s biggest FX loser, down 1.79% to 92.70, with GBP/JPY off 1.14% at 214.00 and CHF/JPY down 1.04% to 195.22.

USD/JPY fell 0.93% to 158.70, and EUR/JPY dropped 0.98% to 183.85. CAD/JPY slipped 0.57% and AUD/JPY 0.74%, leaving the yen the clear standout across the crosses.

Oil held firm after a strong week: UKOil at 94.02 and USOil at 89.31, both little changed on the day but up more than 6% over the week.

The yen crosses remain the session’s clearest theme, with metals the standout on the upside.
