The ECB Press Conference landed at 12:45 UTC on 10 September 2026, and the euro firmed modestly across most crosses in the 45 minutes that followed. The standout was EURNOK, which climbed 0.24%.

Where the euro moved

EURNOK led the reaction, rising from 10.7580 to 10.7835, a gain of 0.24%.

EURNZD followed, advancing 0.18% from 1.9984 to 2.0020.

EURTRY added 0.13%, moving from 56.3922 to 56.4677, while EURSEK gained a similar 0.13%, edging from 11.2136 to 11.2285.

EURCAD posted a smaller uptick of 0.06%, from 1.6042 to 1.6052.

The lone decliner was EURJPY, which slipped 0.05% from 179.153 to 179.063 β€” the only cross to soften against the euro.

What the reaction shows

The move was broadly euro-supportive but contained in scale. Gains clustered in the smaller and higher-yielding crosses β€” EURNOK, EURNZD, EURTRY and EURSEK β€” rather than the majors.

Against the yen, the euro drifted lower by a fraction, marking the only exception to the otherwise positive tilt.

With the largest move under a quarter of a percent, the overall reaction to the ECB Press Conference reads as measured rather than dramatic, concentrated in the Scandinavian and antipodean crosses.
