The US ISM Manufacturing PMI landed at 14:00 UTC on 1 September. In the 30 minutes since, USD-quoted crypto and metals drifted higher, with Polygon (MATUSD) the standout mover.
Where the USD pairs moved
MATUSD led the reaction, rising 1.22% from 0.0905 to 0.0916 in the half hour after the print.
Cardano (ADAUSD) followed, up 0.65% from 0.19885 to 0.20015, closely matched by Chainlink (LNKUSD), which added 0.64% from 11.3975 to 11.4705.
Ethereum (ETHUSD) firmed 0.44%, moving from 2,443.11 to 2,453.92.
The metals barely registered. Platinum (XPTUSD) nudged up 0.23% from 1,769.25 to 1,773.30, while palladium (XPDUSD) was essentially flat, adding 0.02% from 1,321.70 to 1,322.00.
What the reaction shows
The response concentrated in the crypto names, where the smaller-cap Polygon moved the most and the larger Ethereum moved the least in percentage terms.
Metals were close to unchanged, with palladium showing almost no reaction at all.
Overall the moves were modest and pointed the same way across the board, a broadly firmer but far from dramatic session in the immediate aftermath of the release.
