The United States published its Core PCE Price Index m/m and Final GDP q/q at 12:30 UTC on September 30, and the sharpest reaction on our feed came from crypto. Cardano (ADAUSD) rose 1.92% against the dollar, the biggest single move and the lead of a broad altcoin climb.
Where crypto and gold moved against the dollar
Cardano led, lifting from 0.2476 to 0.25235, a 1.92% gain. The Graph (GRTUSD) followed close behind, up 1.71% from 0.0292 to 0.0297.
Chainlink (LNKUSD) advanced 1.57%, moving from 14.4285 to 14.655, while Stellar (XLMUSD) added 1.40%, from 0.227875 to 0.231055.
Litecoin (LTCUSD) rounded out the crypto majors with a 1.26% gain, from 67.165 to 68.01. Gold (XAUUSD) moved least, edging up 0.54% from 4192.85 to 4215.325.
What the reaction shows
The move concentrated in crypto, where five altcoins each firmed more than a full percent against the dollar inside the window. Cardano, The Graph and Chainlink set the pace, and the spread from the fastest to the slowest crypto mover stayed relatively tight.
Gold’s reaction was far more muted, its 0.54% shift roughly a third of Cardano’s. Across every instrument on our feed the direction was the same β higher against the dollar β but the intensity clearly sat with the smaller-cap tokens rather than the metal.
