Cardano opens the session as the standout, up 6.4% to $0.2029 and extending a run that now spans 16.6% on the week and 26.6% on the month. Crude oil is the other clear mover, with both benchmarks rebounding hard after a rough week.
Crypto
ADA leads, but the rest of the complex is split. XTZ (+2.5%) and AXS (+2.65%) round out the day’s gainers, while the large caps sit flat to slightly lower: Bitcoin eased 0.29% to $64,405 and Ethereum was essentially unchanged at $1,906.
The soft spots are on the altcoin side. GRT dropped 2.72%, XRP fell 2.59% to $1.0331, and Stellar slid 2.07%. Solana lost 1.5% to $72.81. Despite the moves, most of these names remain deep in the red over a 12-month window.
Energy and Metals
UKOil rose 4.92% to $82.49 and USOil gained 4.49% to $77.48, a firm bounce that still leaves both down sharply on the week (-7.3% and -8.9%). Over the year, crude remains up around 30%.
Metals pulled back after a strong week. Gold eased 0.89% to $4,239.98 but holds a 4.85% weekly gain, while silver slipped 1.12% to $61.50 and platinum lost 1.41%. Palladium was flat.
Currencies
The dollar firmed broadly. USDCHF added 0.65% and USDJPY rose 0.52% to 158.43. EURUSD slipped 0.32% to 1.15187 and GBPUSD eased 0.13% to 1.34506. The commodity currencies lagged, with AUDUSD off 0.38% and NZDUSD down 0.36%.
Equities
Wall Street closed softer, led by the Dow’s 1.13% drop. The S&P 500 fell 0.4% and the Nasdaq 100 lost 0.29%, though both keep weekly gains above 3%. European indices were mixed, with the CAC and Euro Stoxx 50 edging higher.
The crude rebound and a firmer dollar remain the session’s two clearest threads to track.
