The FOMC Meeting Minutes hit the wire at 18:00 UTC on 19 August 2026, and the response across our watched instruments was small and mixed. The Graph (GRTUSD) posted the largest move, easing 0.37%, while silver edged higher.
Where the USD-priced instruments moved
GRTUSD led the board, slipping 0.37% from 0.01360 to 0.01355 in the moments around the release.
Silver (XAGUSD) was the standout on the upside, firming 0.32% from 65.72 to 65.93 over the following half hour.
Palladium (XPDUSD) added 0.17%, rising from 1330.20 to 1332.45, while platinum (XPTUSD) gained 0.14%, moving from 1810.33 to 1812.89.
Among the smaller crypto names, Polygon (MATUSD) ticked up 0.12% from 0.0805 to 0.0806, and Stellar (XLMUSD) was virtually flat, up just 0.02% from 0.16510 to 0.16513.
What the reaction shows
The reaction was contained. No instrument on our feed moved more than four tenths of a percent, and the split was mixed rather than one-directional.
Precious metals leaned modestly higher, with silver, palladium and platinum all gaining in the 30 minutes after the minutes. The single decliner was GRTUSD, while Stellar barely registered any change at all.
Taken together, the moves point to a muted, low-conviction response to the minutes across the metals and crypto pairs we track.
