Solana was the standout of the session, up 6.47% to $108.62 and now 47.72% higher on the month. It topped a broadly firmer crypto board that also carried both crude benchmarks and left European equities on the back foot.
Crypto
Solana’s move led the covered names, with Bitcoin adding 1.32% to $80,059.97 and back in five figures after a 25.3% monthly gain. XRP rose 2.0% to $1.4503, extending its month to 35.34%.
The majors were not uniform. Ethereum slipped 0.14% to $2,503.25 but holds a 31.19% monthly advance, and Dogecoin gained 0.91% to $0.0883. Cardano edged up 0.43% to $0.2126, still down 75.21% over the year, and BNB firmed 0.34% to $708.81.
Energy and metals
Brent (UKOil) rose 2.17% to $88.11 and WTI (USOil) added 2.08% to $83.06, the strongest gains outside crypto. Both remain lower on the week, off 4.41% and 3.91% respectively, but sit around 30% higher on the year.

Indices
European benchmarks led the equity declines. France’s CAC 40 fell 1.43% to 8,334.35, its second straight weekly drop, while the Euro Stoxx 50 lost 0.55% and Spain’s IBEX 35 shed 0.81%. The FTSE 100 slipped 0.64% to 10,796.54.
Wall Street was steadier into the close. The S&P 500 dipped 0.06% to 7,720.19 and the Nasdaq 100 was near flat at 29,569.95, both still positive on the week and holding monthly gains of 5.07% and 8.0%. The Dow eased 0.3% to 53,548.69.
Asia’s Nikkei 225 was among the day’s heavier losers, down 1.37% to 66,164.60, though it remains 54.65% higher on the year. The Hang Seng fell 0.57%.
Currencies
The dollar was mixed and muted. USD/NOK dropped 0.43% to 9.30435 and USD/CAD eased 0.15% to 1.38529, while EUR/USD held at 1.16515 and GBP/USD at 1.3592, both barely changed on the day. USD/JPY ticked up 0.08% to 159.37.
The Australian dollar firmed, with AUD/USD up 0.19% to 0.71936, while EUR/AUD fell 0.26%. USD/ZAR was little moved at 15.934 but is down 4.34% on the month.
Across the session, Solana and crude were the clearest gainers, while the CAC 40 and Nikkei marked the equity soft spots.
