Regulation & licensing
Deriv operates through several regulated entities, each authorised by a different regulator:
- CIMA β the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (Cayman Islands) authorises Deriv Investments (Cayman) Limited under licence number 2108455.
- CMA β the Capital Market Authority (United Arab Emirates) authorises Deriv Capital Contracts & Currencies L.L.C; the licence number is unreleased.
- FSC β the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission (The Virgin Islands) authorises Deriv (BVI) Ltd. under licence number SIBA/L/18/1114.
- MFSA β the Malta Financial Services Authority (Malta) authorises DERIV INVESTMENTS (EUROPE) LIMITED under licence number C 70156.
- VFSC β the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (Vanuatu) authorises Deriv (V) Ltd under licence number 14556.
Because the broker operates through multiple regulated entities, the entity a client contracts with β and the corresponding regulatory protections β may depend on the client’s country of residence.
Trading platforms
Deriv provides the MetaTrader 5 platform for its clients.
Readers are encouraged to verify a broker’s licence directly with the named regulator before opening an account.
